Tabletop Fountain And Other Soothing Properties of water

Water has multiple references to spirituality and religion in several cultures. In ancient India, water was given a lot of spiritual significance. In Christianity, water is given a special importance as a purification agent. In most catholic churches, a common ritual of pouring water over the head is performed three times, representing purification and cleansing.

Water is referred to as the "fountain of life" in Psalm 36 of Bible. An initiation ritual in Baptism involves sprinkling of water over the head for the count of 3 times.

Its ability to take the shape of it's container is what separates water from most of the other materials. Zen Monks find this particular property of water very appealing. They want to achieve this state of mind, where it just flows and assumes any shape, through years of meditation and contemplation. Letting your mind be as flexible as water is an ultimate state of spiritual journey. This is one of the reasons why you find a bamboo water fountain in most of the Japanese shrines.

What limits us from reaching the next level of spiritual growth is the constant chatter of mind and ego distractions. When you let whatever happen be okay, you experience a state of non-attachment. You enjoy life as is, without any miseries and suffering. This is the state of mind that allows true spiritual growth to happen.

Waters ability to take any shape and form when it is flowing through the water fountain is what relates a water fountain to spiritual element. There is no strain or resistance in water as it flows through the path it is offered. It simply takes the path without any resistance. Out lives would be a lot more easy going and relaxed only if nature of our minds resembled with the nature of water.

In today's world, spirituality is important part of our life. A spiritual lifestyle is truly easy to live and there are many options in with the ways our civilization has been expanding its consciousness. A tabletop fountain helps you create calm and tranquil lifestyle by it's very nature. It is an ideal tool to start off your spiritual journey. In addition to its symbolic connotation with spirituality and religion, a mist fountain has many health benefits. It purifies the air that surrounds us. As water recirculates through the tabletop fountain, it adds moisture to the air that surrounds it. This results in purification and cleansing of the air that we breathe. Moisturized air helps us reduce the symptoms of itchy and dry skin.
